The latest RPG from Sabotage Studio launched on August 29, allowing players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC to begin collecting Sea of Stars achievements, and in the week since, more than 250,000 copies of the game have been sold.

Sea of Stars surpasses Sabotage's first-year sales projections in a week

As revealed by the Sea of Stars X account, the game has already smashed its sales target for the year by selling 250,000 copies in just its first week of release. "We had projections for the first year," Sabotage says, "but it only took you all a single week. Thank you." This, of course, is only for actual sales of the game and doesn't account for the number of people playing it via streaming services like Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG "inspired by the classics," which gives you control of sun and moon powers to take down The Fleshmancer. It's already earned itself a rating of 4.6/5 here on TA and made its way into our best Xbox RPGs list, and Sabotage says there is still more content to come with the Throes of the Watchmaker DLC.

If you enjoyed playing through Sea of Stars and want something else to look forward to while we wait for the Throes of the Watchmaker to arrive, why not check out some of the games coming to Game Pass in the next couple of months?
