As is well established by now, most games (aside from first-party titles) don't stay in Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass forever, and with so many games coming to Game Pass each month, Microsoft has to make way for the new by clearing out some of the older titles. We've taken a look through some data and produced a list of games that could potentially be leaving Game Pass in December to give you a heads-up on what to focus on before Microsoft makes an official announcement.

Game Pass adds LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga today

Most games that join Game Pass end up leaving the service after a period of 12 months. The games listed below all joined Game Pass in December 2022, so it's possible they could be up for the chopping block soon.
With High on Life and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, December was a pretty big month for Game Pass. For those after a quick completion, Hello Neighbor 2 can be completed in a couple of hours (check out the Hello Neighbor 2 walkthrough for more). If you have a bit more free time in the coming weeks, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the game where you'll probably want to focus your efforts as a completion here will take between 80 and 100 hours, according to estimates.

House Flipper Achievements

While it's uncommon, some games do leave Game Pass after 18 months. Several games that joined Game Pass back in June 2022 still remain in the service today, though their time could be up.
We have yet to see a Ubisoft game drop out of Game Pass after 18 months, and while we don't think Assassin's Creed Origins will leave the service next month, we've included it just to be safe. The games listed above are all pretty lengthy completions (some are also tough as nails, looking at you, Ninja Gaiden), with the exception of Disc Room, which can be completed in under five hours, according to estimates. The Shadowrun Trilogy also joined Game Pass in June 2022 for console, but seeing as the three games only just came to PC Game Pass this year, we don't think they'll be leaving anytime soon.

The next monthly milestone for when games usually leave Game Pass is at the 24-month mark. All of these games joined Game Pass in December 2021, so we could see them drop out of the service shortly.
We have some heavy hitters here again. Mortal Kombat 11, Stardew Valley, and Among Us all joined Game Pass in December two years ago. Among Us was previously down to leave Game Pass in June 2023, but that listing was pulled, so it's possible that the social deduction multiplayer game has been granted a longer stay in the service. For those who have already started it, Anvil: Vault Breaker has already been confirmed as leaving Game Pass soon — a server closure is also planned for the roguelike shooter at the end of the year.

For those looking to grab some easy Gamerscore, both Rubber Bandits and The Gunk are pretty easy completions.

Monster Train Achievements

Nearly all of the games that joined Game Pass three years ago have now left the service, but there are a couple here that remain.
Monster Train has a pretty tough achievement list, so if you are thinking of going for the completion in the roguelike deckbuilding strategy game, be sure to set aside around 25 hours. As for Starbound, estimates suggest you'll be able to complete its achievement list in under eight hours.

48 months

Overcooked! 2 Achievements

After a whopping 48 months in Game Pass, these games are still holding firm in the service. The games listed below all joined Game Pass in December 2019.
Now, both of these games have either had a console or a PC version join Game Pass at later dates, so trying to predict when they'll leave Game Pass becomes a bit murky. For Overcooked! 2, the console version of the game joined Game Pass in December 2019, but the PC version launched into the service in April 2020 — make of that what you will. We see a similar story with Phoenix Point, which first joined PC Game Pass in December 2019 before coming to Xbox Game Pass in October 2021.

For a completion in Overcooked! 2, the base list will take around ten hours, and in Phoenix Point, you'll need a chunky 200-300 hours to unlock all 47 of its achievements.

As for the games leaving Game Pass in November, the first batch of games dropping out of the service this month has been confirmed, with Townscaper and Coffee Talk among the casualties.
