Someone at Ubisoft has just hit the £1 panic button because no one has subscribed.... I won't do it since it auto renews at full price and auto renew has caught me out 1 or 3 too many times before.
Twitter Name: sdb1979 Hit 100,000 in Oct 2010 and proud of it...alot of man hours went into that!!

I won't ever subscribe to Ubisoft+. Just include it into Game Pass Ultimate and get your guaranteed 2 Dollar per subscriber. That's over 50m Dollars a month in recurring revenue for you, Ubisoft. Don't even have to have all your games Day 1. Put them into the service 30 days after release to still make bank from people who cannot wait.
It's not possible to add UBI sub to Game Pass, because EA Access is there which is a competitor.

Or, they did the typical thing you get from subscription services?

Unless you are saying that Microsoft hit the panic '£1 for GP button' because nobody subscribes?

Or WOW gives way the first 20 levels because nobody subscribes (even though it remains the most-subscribed to MMO)

I have no enthusiasm whatsoever for the AAA game scene. It's become really stale and far too many releases are essentially an annual rehash of the one they released 12 months ago. I am way more excited for smaller publisher houses like Focus entertainment who have released good and innovative games like Blacktail.

Incidentally there's a great youtube video by Raz0rfist (the rageaholic) about the decline of the sandbox game that talks about the malaise of the Assassin's creed franchise very incitefully.

In theory could you just keep making new Xbox accounts and using this offer?
In theory, but you can get flagged and banned if they catch you.

They don't want you to do this, but you can always subscribe to any service and immediately cancel it again with only the first month paid for. Then you can decide on your own terms if you want to renew at the end of the month, otherwise it'll just end automatically.

Last thing I need is another subscription. My backlog has enough physical copies of Ubisoft games to last me a few years anyway.
    Ditto

They'd have probably been better off doing what EA did and not including new games so they can charge less for the subscription.

Also, there will probably be cases where people pay £15 so they can play a brand new game for a month and complete it, rather than buying it for £60+, which is bad for them too. I might do that with Mirage, cos once I've completed a game like that, I don't tend to play it again.
Planning to do this when Prince of Persia comes out lol

This will be a good alternative for Game Pass. I honestly don't want to renew my Game Pass so I'll be glad to make use of this.

I did the trial and full price is NOT worth it whatsoever.

The only game I wanted DLC for of course does not include it (AC Odyssey) and it doesn’t go far enough back in the titles for me to care.

I tried to play Uno, it’s completely broken. For the week I had the trial, it was fine, I got I think about 3000GS but there’s absolutely nothing in the service to bring me back.

I will probably try the $1 just to complete a couple of AC games I have on the list. But don’t hold your breath UBI, your games are awful.

The promotion lasts until Aug 9 so this would be a waste of time anyhow.

Don't fall for it kings and queens. They just want you subscribed and forgetting about that extra line on your bill!

I would do this for a 3 month trial.

Heads up for anyone considering Ubisoft, during the trial I found that in more than 8 games I played, every single one of them had achievement unlocking issues where you were required to repeat the achievement (Sometimes replaying the entire game again) and achievement synching issues. It seems to be affecting all Ubisoft games unfortunately, I mentioned it in the one version of watchdogs here:

Achievement tracking not working and achievements not popping on Watch Dogs

£1 a month is worth it to attempt their quick completions or wrap up dlc you never bought but I wouldnt recommend starting any games on there that have a time investment of over 10 hours in case you run into the above issues.
