Windows 8 Sign in Errors

Hi everybody, I experienced some errors (not signed in, disconnected, etc.) when trying to play Windows 8 games last night. The errors started when launching SvZ and continued on to every other win8 that I tried. It's been nearly 24 hours at this point and I still can't sign in to any Win8 games.

I recall a service outage about 2 years ago that only affected win8. I'm thinking this is possibly the same.
Windows 8 App Achievement Notifications not Displaying

Can anyone confirm if they're able to sign into win8 games?
Are there any recommended approaches on who to contact at Microsoft Support?

I can't sign in to Monster Go!. It actually crashes the game when it attempts to sign in.

I do not want to check SvZ as I'd die if I somehow made the licence break on that after all the hours I have done in it for the last achievement.

Really weird thing with Endless Skater - I launched it and it requested my PIN. Did it and then it says "Activate your free game" with the traditional "Get" button. Throws up an error code: 0x80190191. When I click OK and go into the game, then click sign in top left, it asks for security PIN and then says "You already own this game" but doesn't sign in. [As a note - yes, I have owned this title for years]

I tried Kinectimals Unleashed and when it loads in the screen just has "This game can be activated free of charge at the Window Store." I can see my dog so the progress is internal (he's so dirty :().

Sounds like Win8 Licences are broken.

I have issues with Gravity Guy.
Suddenly the game wasn't connecting to the live, asked me to uninstall / reinstall from the store.

I uninstalled but I forgot the game is delisted... :(

Anyone knows how to reinstall a delisted game? (I own it).

I tested things out with Disney Fairies Hidden Treasures (this actually worked without me having to open the Store), Windows 8 version of Microsoft Jigsaw and Toy Soldiers: Cold War Touch edition on my Windows 10 PC and they worked. No issues for me.

They are not actually. You need to get the installers from the Store Rg adguard site. This is the link: https://store.rg-adguard.net/. You also need to get their product IDs or URLs and put them in the search tool on the site to get the installers and download them. That is what I did for a few. Some of them are not ported over to the Windows 11 and even the Windows 10 Store and they are tough to find on the Store's website because they are delisted. Looking for them usually brings the generic Windows 11 Store homepage on the site. You have to play with the URLs to force the Store's website to pull them up. I will explain more later on.

You fixed it! laugh I just checked and my sign in is working again. Maybe I just caught win8 in "routine maintenance" mode lol. Thanks all for the replies.

@AciD237 let us know if you need help. Another good strategy if you don't want to mess with adguard an installers is to simply tack on the product id to "ms-windows-store://pdp/?ProductId=" This will cause the game to open in the ms store whether it's delisted or not.

I hear that you can use a VPN. How does that work? The offline startup trick is not working at all. I will just have to connect to a different XBOX server altogether. How does the region and VPN combo work?

No need to change anything regarding region on your PC side. But you set a VPN to Europe (Australians seem to have success with Sweden a lot, while US seem to have good results with UK) and launch the game. This is usually used when you can't get past the message saying you don't own the licence when you do. But I think people are using it now in conjunction with airplane mode sign in trick? I only know how to use it when it won't validate the licence and Sweden worked for me.
