I was hoping the old Dead or Alive games (2, 3 and 4) might have had a decent discount by now, 13 months after becoming backwards compatible. I wonder if they ever will do.

So I guess Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (the newer one), Star Ocean: The Last Hope (so I can get rid of my disc version), and Graveyard Keeper's Game of Crone are just never going to go on sale, right?

Sales aren't what they used to be, but they set a bad precedent in the mid 10's because I find myself constantly relying on them. And of course taking full advantage of them. But shame on me for wanting to get good deals when times are tough though right?
You are correct, sales aren’t what they used to be. They are far better than they were 10 years ago. Back then each week around 5 games would go on sale for 50% off and would often never go on sale again.

Name me one Microsoft game that has never gone on sale. Microsoft cannot force EA to discount all their games to $1.

If your biggest concern is buying more games then times cannot be that tough.

Man, that's a pretty big discount for Need for Speed Unbound two weeks after launch. That paired with some Criterion veterans leaving the studio after the launch doesn't paint a good picture for how it performed. I'm surprised really, a lot of things I've read have said it is the best NFS has been in a while.

Anthem's deep discount caught my eye. But! It's on game pass; I got the impression they never did get it to a great place before abandoning it; and, I have the strong fear that they'll shut down the servers before I ever get around to it.

Is my thinking wrong?

I just finished the base game and the first DLC. My god, the sheer amount of nonsense collectibles is off the charts. The base game has something like 500 of the bastards. Not all are needed for achievements, but most are. The map is littered with icons.

That being said, it's a fun game and not all that difficult, as difficulty setting has no bearing on achievements. The interactions between the gods are acceptably funny.

I ran through it on the free play weekend recently. If you've played Goat Simulator, then you'll know pretty much what to expect. The quality of the product seems to be higher than Goat Simulator. The trailer and appearance make it look more fun than it actually is, but it's still a decent game. It's not difficult, although deliberately losing specific limbs to unlock "limb loss doors" can be tedious.

Probably not, but you can just do it yourself, too:

Go to any notification you got in the past, like this one for this weeks weekly sale:
Xbox Sales for Tue 13 Dec

You see the 2384 in the URL on top of the page? That is the day of the sale.
On top of the site it says: "Xbox Sales Added On 13 December 22 in your Wishlist"

If you increase the 2384 in the URL by 1, it counts up the day by 1, too.
So 2385 is 14 Dec., 2386 is 15 Dec., etc.

So by setting it to the day a sale happens you can see the notification for that day, which you would/should have gotten.

The sale happend today, which is 16 Dec, so you would take 2384 (13 Dec, above) +3 and use 2387.

And lo and behold: Xbox Sales for Today should now show you this sales items on your wishlist.

I have a question. Has anybody played the NHRA game? If you have, is it insanely hard? I don't mind a very hard challenge once in a while, but if it is the Assetto Corsa of drag racing, I might pass.

I am a very seasoned driving game player, FYI. Thanks!
