Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 Xbox One save files will carry over to Xbox Series X|S versions

Surely this is just be expected, they not new games they are just improving the normal game. So surely before and after patch it same game booted up by your Xbox.

One would assume that achievements would pop if you've completed them all, right? Of course that's assuming there are new lists for the upgraded versions...

As expected, good ol' xbox. It's ps4 to ps5 that has to do all the annoying transfers and separate trophy lists.

It’s like confirming a game that is backward compatible will share the same saves and achievement lists - totally unnecessary. Smart Delivery is simply forward compatibility (the ability to play new games on old consoles).

It only makes sense to explain what will be supported with games like GTA V that don’t use Smart Delivery (and usually are not free).

It’s amazing how these penniless companies can afford to give away upgrades like this when the likes of TakeTwo/Rockstar, who earn billions through the cash cow that is GTAO, make you pay for them.
I can’t see Capcom lasting long with business practices like this.

Xbox however gets a stack on the alternate Japanese Z versions due to how Microsoft handles Z games.

So Xbox gets 2 RE2s and PlayStation gets 2 RE2s. Same for 3 and 7. They balance out.

I don’t get why so many people get pissy about games not getting a whole new set of achievements when they get a free upgrade.
You’re not buying a new version.
It’s a graphical improvement to an existing game.
People take this site and achievements WAY too seriously 🙄
