Xbox sale round-up: January 4th, 2022

Alot of them are just gamepass discounts lol

And only 3 BC games and one "Mars: War Logs" is always in sale...

Is "We Happy Few" worth it? I've been eyeballing it for a while now but don't really have any understanding about the game.

Long are we past the days when I would get excited to see what's on sale for XBLA. Not that all the XBLA games were all great but after being on Xbox Live for 14+ years I just don't see the value in a lot of games these days that are $10-$15 or less. Don't get me wrong, I've bought so many of them but I can't think of many that were that good. My favorites lately are card collecting games, shmups, platformers, and sidescrollers / beat em ups.

Is it just me or am I just getting old?

Xbox sales are really lame. When I compare it to this week PSN sales, jesus. That and Ps+, they basically give reasons to gamers to go to PlayStation. And that would be so simple to work on it...

I do miss the old Xbox 360 arcade sales. Used to pick up a ton from those way back in 2011-2013. Sadly, lost access to that account so I lost the games. Would totally be spending a ton of quid on a full blown arcade sale. In fact, I would probably pick up all of the games on the 360 arcade, BC or not. Loved them so much more.

I'll add mine in too, same old same old, nothing of interest to me. I also would prefer a big 360 sale as I can't do X1 and there are still a ton of games I'd like to get on 360 that are not available on disc. I could complain about prices too I guess? $90 for a "sale" price on some of those? Geez, games have gotten to be so horribly priced over the years -_-

One of these days we will get a sale on the Outer Worlds season pass (not whatever it was a few months ago, 10% I think?)

Also hoping for a sale on the Maneater DLC and for Ghost of a Tail to go on sale again or finally be added to Game Pass (I think it’s been included in the PC titles for awhile now)

200 GS was an undervalue for many of the games,
some of which were more demanding than a 1000 GS retail disc.
