MTU error & LIVE disconnects when starting a game

    Hi,

someone else has problems with their 360 network connection recently?

    My problem:
When starting different games (Damnation, Puzzle Chronicles) LIVE disconnects and i cannot sign in again as long as the game is running. When i close the game it reconnects right away. Tried clearing system cache, re-downloading latest system update, re-downloading my profile.

Testing Xbox Live connection results in MTU error every time. Tried different consoles, wired/wireless. Signing in with my profile directly works though.

    Any ideas?

Yeah, me too. It started with some weird problem where my achievement on Saints Row 2 vanished. The next day, it would sign me out without a pop-up when launching The Sims 3 Pets but all other games were fine. Yesterday, I had problems with all games.
I tried a lot of things. Like, deleting my profile and downloading again, changing my app password, changing port, and turning off/on auto-renew on my Game Pass subscription.
Now I can't download my profile again. When it should be done downloading it, I get an 80151015 error.

I think it's a new outage. I have a friend who can't log in either.

Yeah I've been having this issue since last night. I've googled and tried every solution under the sun and nothing is working. Same error codes and issues as you guys.

I suggest everyone go to https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status and report a service outage. The more complaints they receive, the faster they should acknowledge this problem and solve it (so I hope)

I am having the same issue on my Xbox 360 for a few hours now (all started when I was booting up Gears of War 3). I also looked up many workarounds but none has worked. I tried...

    - resetting network settings to factory defaults
    - re-downloading the system update
    - connecting the console directly to my router via Ethernet cable
    - switching to a mobile hotspot/different network
    - re-downloading my profile
    - and more including changing my router settings

Nothing has worked. It is an issue on Microsoft's end. I hope they are going to fix it soon.

EDIT: It does not seem to affect every Xbox 360 game. But this is bullshit. I can't sync my Gears 3 progress with servers like this (45/65 Onyx Medals, making good progress and now this...).
Still clearing my Xbox 360 and PS 3 backlog, no interest in current gen consoles.

Happening for me too. I don't even get an error code when I try to reconnect. It just says, "Your connection to Xbox Live has been lost. Please sign in again."

Of course, signing in again doesn't solve it.

Update: below is from chat with Microsoft specialist online

“Thank you so much for patiently waiting on the line. I know that this issue has caused a lot of inconvenience especially in your gaming experience. As per checking here with my higher support, that specific problem has already reached our engineering department and they are currently working and looking for the possible causes for that problem. Less worry, this is a work in progress meaning, we have given a heads up to all Xbox department that this is an ongoing issue and working really hard to fix this problem.”

At least M$ claims to be aware of the issue and to do something about it. Let's hope they really do.
