Resident Evil's free Xbox Series X|S upgrades available now

Capcom's recent showcase has unveiled that the Xbox Series X|S upgrades for three Resident Evil Games are now available, which include ray tracing, higher framerates, faster load times, and more.

I can't wait to binge on these again when the DLC is close to coming out. Never can be tired of RE games (minus 3).

Totally forgot about that cool version of the folk song that VII had.

Already played and completed all three of these, so I won't be going back any time soon, nice to see upgrades though. Judging from that trailer the games don't look massively different to me though. Would probably need to see each version side by side.

As it turns out, that speculation was correct, and the upgrades are now available as free downloads for all current owners of the original games, as well as being purchasable from the Xbox Store. You'll find new ray tracing support, improvements, faster load times, higher frame rates, 3D audio, and more.
what are you writing here?! the upgrades arent available as free downloads neither are they purchasable. they just added the stuff into the game files.
that means, the games you already own are upgraded and the store just contains the XBO/XS version. Smart Delivery... you know. frim.now, you buy the upgraded version from the store and thats it. like they did with AC Origins

People sad about there being no stacks are probably those that have a massive backlog anyways. Find a new favourite game to play from your massive pile.

Just shows how used I am to playing indie and old-gen games that I was playing Resident Evil 2 last week, left for the weekend, then come back to this update and can't tell the difference because it already looks soooo cool.

Why have they taken them off sale? I was prepared to buy the raccoon city collection last night, but found that they’d been taken off because they somehow decided to end the sale when the upgrades were close to coming out!

There are still plenty of Series stacks. Over 50 stacks/current gen only.

But yes, less of them than the PS5 gets.

This is a good thing. It strikes me that this gen has a lot of people returning to Xbox. Being as inclusive as possible is good for those who missed out on the Xbox One and are now playing catch up on a Series.

Alright now I need to go and get that one last achievement in RE 2, and finish the DLC for RE 7.
