Thanks for a great review. It does seem to me that the central plot is not a major selling feature. I get the impression it takes a back seat to exploration. I do like to explore open world games & can easily extend a 40 hour game into 400. But I also prefer games with a dramatically intense story, memorable characters—including a good bad-guy, and scintillating dialog.
Despite its occasional shortcomings, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is still a lot of fun to play.
I’m glad you brought it up. My chief criterion in judging a game is its fun factor.
