Basically, inflation. Game prices are going to go up (not that they have ever tracked with inflation anyway). Companies do have staff to pay, after all. The economy is tough.
Actually lack of new games, games these days last for years eg GTA V, as prime example, should have gotten 6 in ONE era, 7 in Series era.
In 360 era I could not keep up with all the individual new games, plus neglected PS3 as had no time for, now today I am buying same game on PS and Xbox and maybe PC as well, due to lack of new games.
Games get old, prices drop, and they get money from the new games, but if not releasing new games fast enough, they have to then rely on the old games still.
Buying:Physical discs leads to profits, Digital games leads to bankruptcy. I will not support digital fully until we can trade digital games
