Just read the summary as I want to be surprised by the game as much as possible, but sounds look a good game. Looking forward to play it. Thanks for the review.

Hopefully Patch #1 might eliminate some of these issues, but this sounds more like my cup of assassin tea, one ive been waiting for since AC: Brotherhood. Pleasant news.

Social cover and mercenaries do come from the Ezio trilogy, the continuos robbing of "rich" citizens from Revelations (is anyone real estate agent in that game?)
One curiosity, how much strong is the elite guard?

Nice to hear it's a bit more of a manageable size.

I'd be interested to know how this game compares to the roots it's based off (1+2), but I'm not sure if the author has played those ones. I don't think you can fully review this game without making that comparison to the originals.

A lot of these systems sound like what we've already seen before, nothing wrong with that. But it's a bit amusing to see how Ubi are pulling the wool over people's eyes who've not played the earlier games.

The original formula got stale, they moved to the big open world formula, and now that's stale it's back to the original with a fresh coat of paint. Everything old is new again I guess.

It’s beautiful, having a blast pickpocketing and stabby stabby from all sorts of places. So glad its back to stealth 👌

Since any kind of big stealth games have vanished (Tenchu, Splinter Cell,Metal Gear) from the market, myhope really lies on AC to reintroduce stealth games into it. While we are flooded with roguelikes and the neverending insufferable Demon´s Souls copy number 359836, the stealth genre needs to make its comeback.Hope this AC sells well and provides enough hints for Ubi to abandon their action RPG hack´n slay approach for a series that IS stealth by its DNA. Gimme back Sam Fisher, gimme back Rikimaru,Ayame and Tesshu...and gimme back assassins that aren´t Kratos 2.0, Ubi!

8 of 10 is pretty high. Guess I will find out sometime next year.

Loving playing this AC title and SO glad it's returned to a stealth game - as it should be!

It would help to see a review from someone that has played the classic AC games. Being this is a return to the old formula, a lot of what I read here doesn't feel particularly revolutionary unless you've only played the RPGs. I'm still hopeful it's great, but there's no measure here against the rest of the series. The description of the combat, stealth, and even the parkour all sounds identical to AC 1-Revelations. Is it?

Well, in fairness, I am not doing them in any sort of order. And no plans (as of now at least) of doing any of the 360 ones. So the main reasons I am waiting that long is letting a few patches smooth the game over, I have so much filling up the backlog, and I am honestly not all that impressed with what I've seen of the game. So the wait won't bother me much. And since you mentioned it, I am actually pretty excited to get around to the ACIII remaster. Think I will enjoy that!

I've been Phantom Liberty. Bugs do not bother me right now.

So that leaves out just the first one?

ACIII was originally on 360 then remastered on One, along with 2, it's expansions, and Rogue (which is highly underrated).

What I mean is I have done 1, and 2. Some of Brotherhood and Black Flag. And have one single achievement in III and Rev. All 360 versions. And I have zero plans to go back and do anymore (or start any I haven't) on the 360. Just the remasters. I get bored really easy with old AC games. Another reason Mirage looks stale and uninteresting to me.
