I considered it but when I looked through their entire catalog I realized the problem with individual companies doing their own rental service like GP: I already bought all the games I wanted from them when they went on sale over time. They also dont put new games in there fast enough because again its not a conglomerate of companies like GP.

An offer again ? Man it must really do badly but it's not a surprise.

They'd have probably been better off doing what EA did and not including new games so they can charge less for the subscription.

Also, there will probably be cases where people pay £15 so they can play a brand new game for a month and complete it, rather than buying it for £60+, which is bad for them too. I might do that with Mirage, cos once I've completed a game like that, I don't tend to play it again.
Why do people give business advice to big companies here?

This model has had a huge amount of success on PC, as has EA+ (or whatever it is called) that included Day 1 EA games.

But sure. You know what works better than Ubisoft who have been doing this for years, almost as long as Game Pass.
It's called "having an opinion". It's obviously not "business advice".

Also, you have absolutely no idea how many subscribers Ubisoft+ and EA Play Pro have.

Ubisoft+ clearly had enough subscribers to warrant them rolling the service out to two other platforms after 3 years, so it must be benefitting them in some way, and earning more cash than it not existing. They wouldn't roll out the service to three different formats if they weren't making a profit from the Day 1 inclusions and complete DLC.

We know that EA Play has 13 million PAYING subscribers as of 2022, though. This is supposedly separate from Game Pass Ultimate subs (as they are not paying subscribers, as bundled). But, if they are not, then EA Play has at least 6.5 million subscribers, as addition to GP doubled the reach. Although, you're quite right. I do not have exact figures for EA Play Plus. The figures are likely higher now too due to Steam addition.

More importantly not including 100+ PC games would enable them to charge less.

EA Play Pro is $14.99 per month and Ubisoft+ PC Access is $14.99. There is no EA Play Pro "PC+Console" subscription tier.

TA have a list of Ubisoft+ Multi Pass games (although it is missing all the PC games because they don't have achievements)
    https://www.trueachievements.com/ubisoft-plus/games

Here is the list of "Ubisoft-" games included with Game Pass
    Assassin's Creed Odyssey
    Assassin's Creed Origins
    Far Cry 5
    For Honor
    Immortals Fenyx Rising
    Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
    Watch_Dogs 2

A short list, but it contains some of their best games. Not as short as the list of "EA Play-" games included with Game Pass though (for the rest you need GPU)
    Mass Effect
    That's all folks!

Maybe Ubisoft could create a cheaper tier for consoles between Ubisoft- and Ubisoft+MA that has more games than Ubisoft- (that are all at least 9 months old) and no DLC or PC Games (the equivalent to EA Play for Xbox).

The difference between Ubisoft+ PC and Ubisoft+ MA is $3, so it shouldn't be unreasonable to remove all of the following from the service, and offer "Ubisoft+ Xbox" at around the $5 mark:
    - Play 100+ games on PC
    - Access to premium editions
    - Play new releases on day one
    - 10% discount on virtual currency packs
    - Unique monthly rewards
    - New Indie games added monthly

A month of Ubisoft+ will give you plenty of time to check out big Ubisoft games such as Assasin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Riders Republic, and more. You'll also have access to DLC for these games, so if you're missing any DLC achievements from a title and don't want to purchase a particular expansion, this could be a way to fully complete a game on the cheap.
Far Cry 6 may not be the best example, because the Xbox version of Far Cry 6 Game of the Year Edition is not among the "selected Xbox games" included in Ubisoft+ Multi Access.

They seriously need to rethink their pricing. Pricing it above GP ultimate while offering substantially less value is not a winning recipe.
And yes, Ubisoft+ has been around for years.

I am baffled by the number of people that seem to think that Ubisoft+ is a failure. The service is almost as old as Game Pass. People buy it...
That's because you're on TrueAchievements. It's hard to find any rational thought or opinion here. This community feeds itself on its own negativity. You can literally pay one buck to get access to more than 60 games for 30 days, it's objectively a good deal even if you don't like the service, but you can count on one hand the number of positive comments reacting to this. Instead, all you see are the same comments you see on every Ubisoft+ news, complaining about the price or the company in general. Yet, it's popular everywhere but here. Don't worry, after some time, nothing is baffling on this website anymore.
You are free to leave, you know.

I share your sentiments, but LifeExpectancy was not the right person to quote smile

Certainly some of the most vocal people on the site claim everything is "meh", games that get 8/10 or didn't cost $60 are "garbage", and every sale is the "worst ever sale" - yes, even worse than the worst ever sale from last week laugh. I can only hope they are all PS fanboys who just come here to shit on Xbox.

But I know it is more than just TA. All the recent TV shows and movies get 1/10 reviews on IMDB - it took just a few seconds to find https://www.imdb.com/review/rw9212755/?ref_=tt_urv

For some reason it is currently trendy to call everything crap.

    LifeExpectancy said:
And just bc people pay it doesnt mean it is priced appropriately, in my opinion anyway. Or maybe MS is just underpricing GPultimate.
I think you hit the nail on the head.

When comparing Ubisoft+ and EA Play Pro which are both $14.99 per month it is priced appropriately. When comparing Ubisoft+ MA for $17.99 with EA Play Pro + EA Play for Xbox for $19.98 per month, it is a better deal. Even though Ubisoft+ is predominately open world and for EA Play it is sports, I feel EA has more diversity in their lineup. Overall if I had to choose between them, I personally still prefer more of the games from Ubisoft smile

GPU includes both Console and PC games but only has select day 1 releases and almost no DLC. The bigger 3rd party games (RDR, GTA) are cycled out quite quickly which won't happen on Ubisoft+ MA. When considering $17.99 with the new $16.99 price of GPU, it all depends on if you prefer playing hundreds of older games with no DLC or new releases with DLC as to which represents the best vale.

Ubisoft+ MA is really only for people who also game on PC, which I don't. GPU still offers enough benefit to console only gamers - well it is $1 extra to add GPPC to GPCore ($5) + GPConsole ($11) - and for that $1 you get the base EA Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

I'm not getting Ubisoft+ MA until they add Discovery Tour: Viking Age

No that is not sarcasm, I am perfectly serious about that.

I wonder how long this month paid trial will actually last, considering the 7 day free trial only lasted 6 days for me laugh

Only got it for the South Park DLC but didn't get enough time to finish it, especially since the trial was cut short!

Not interested unless the dlc for the 360 ACs are included

Lol it’s one of the last AC games I have to complete(of the ones that are possible to get), and I really don’t want to buy it

What's the point? Their games become cheap after a while... I practically own all the games in this service including majority of the DLC! A hard pass...

If you give ubisoft a dollar, they will want 14.
If you give ubisoft 14 dollars, ea will want 30.
If you give ea 30 dollars, every publisher will have their own service. I don't want what happened to streaming services to happen to gaming services, I'm gonna give ubisoft+ a hard pass.

As much as people here are saying, "no, never"

Think about how often your main account or a dummy used the $1 offer for Game Pass.

And the shock that you can't use that anymore.

TLDR: Promos work for the long term attach rate.
