Going to give Serial Cleaner a go at that price. Looks like a mix of Monaco and Hotline Miami. And I like the art style.
I've enjoyed it so far, it's a nice balance of relaxing and tense at the same time.

I'm trying to buy Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, but my game pass ultimate subscription doesn't get recognized as gold, neither in the browser nor on the Xbox One. Any workaround?

Kao the Kangaroo and Biomutant both are half off. Seems like a good time to grab both of them. Would anyone say that Biomutant at its current price is worth it?
It’s only the second time Biomutant has been this low and I’ve been eyeing it forever. But it’s long enough I haven’t been able to justify grabbing it, I only buy what I play and Game Pass just added two new games that grab me.

With that said, everything I’ve read makes me think of you like that exploration/combat, loot searching type of game it’s a great game.

If the people who bought skatebird fir the TU found out it is now on sale they would probably screm
Nah those people usually pay any amount of money if it means winning something or increasing their score. I know a couple people on this site who are in mega debt cuz of achievements.
    Please tell me you’re joking..
There are people on this site that spend like a hundred dollars a week buying games. It’s insane
Paying full price for games is insane.
Actual insanity is buying a game you don’t play. That is 100% money you could have lit on fire unless what you really enjoy about a game is seeing its icon in the folder called “Library” as opposed to seeing it in the folder called “Store”.

I find that I can happily pay full price AND save money if I only buy things I immediately play (so if I don’t have time I don’t buy them). There’s enough sales that often I can pick something I very much want to play from the sale but even when I don’t it’s still saving me money.

I don’t know what this says about the gaming industry, perhaps it couldn’t sustain itself at this size without gamers constantly lighting their money on fire but overall it’s a bad situation.

And hey, I lit my money on fire for years before I figured this out and sometimes I still mess up and end up playing something for 30 minutes when I liked it fine (though I allow myself to genuinely not like something, I bounced off of Cyberpunk for example), but mostly I’m pretty good, though it takes practice. You have to get your “wanter” fixed.
Very good point! I should practice more of this. Even though I only buy games, typically, for $20 or less, it’s still a problem I have.
Feel free to msg me on Live

I guess nobody understood the joke, was trying to be cheeky and reference the thing that everyone's favorite birb does in the game sometimes.
I finally changed this thing and have nothing important to say. Not like anyone is going to read it...

Are those the Summer sales or not yet? Microsoft/TA don't put names anymore on big sales, like Halloween, Spring sales, etc. Only the Black Friday ones are known as special sales.

This is actually a very valid point. Too often I buy games on sale that I won't realistically get to any time soon, and so the backlog grows, and my money is effectively burnt like you said.

I really wish Microsoft had better overall sales variety though. It's always the same few games over and over, so the FOMO gets me when a game that hasn't been on sale for two years finally pops up.

"Gamers" in general is not the same as "achievement hunters" on this site, though.

Most gamers either have Game Pass, or they buy maybe 3-4 games a year. Heck, half of them only ever play Fortnite, COD or FIFA.

Not all gamers spend a ton of cash on F2P mobile games either but enough do, even aside from whales, that it’s a big market that supports thousands of titles, even pretty questionable ones.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking achievement hunters (or rather those compulsively impelled to spend money on games that offer easy achievements) are solely here on TA, I would guess the minority of them are. Beyond that achievement hunters are far from the only people buying sale games that we don’t play. In fact we’re the minority of that group.

Steam has made an entire business on selling titles to people that they never play with their sales. Heck, they even added meta sale achievements for stuff like their Summer Sale for stuff like gifting games, buying cash in your Steam Wallet, and just buying X number of games on sale.

Achievements are a subsection of this group, but I am talking about a much larger group. While I’m familiar with the research you cite that’s only part of the market and there’s a very lucrative different part of the market to which I’m referring in my original comment.

I bought Mortal Shell Enhanced Edition for $2.99 and This War of Mine: The Little Ones for $1.99 (both at 90% off) and Dreamfall Chapters for $2.99(85% off).

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood is a good deal if you still have XBL Gold but I let mine expire recently.
