If I'm gonna recommend anything from this sale, I'd recommend Astalon. Great throwback Metroidvania with a Lost Vikings vibe to it.

While I haven't played it myself, my friend has been binging Children of Morta on Switch recently. So, I highly recommend it (most games don't grab her attention). I think it is co-op, so good for those TAers that have a partner.

I'll probably pick up Ticket to Ride. Play that board game a lot, so want to learn some strats for my next board gaming night.

May also get the rest of the Jackbox games I am missing on Xbox.

Other than that, no standouts this week for me :(

    -edit-

    Cozy Grove is great too.

Another sale for Immortal Planet, absolutely awesome isometric souls like. It's pretty damn challenging, but super rewarding, at less than $5, it's a steal.

This sale sucks. A lot of these games were cheaper in past sales.

(My site choice isn't meant to be mocking, it literally is one of the better explanations)

Basically, inflation. Game prices are going to go up (not that they have ever tracked with inflation anyway). Companies do have staff to pay, after all. The economy is tough.

Explain why sales are often cheaper on PlayStation. Is that inflation too? 😅
Probably because more players, means more potential sales, so the price can be lower.

Xbox fans may have more disposable income too, which could push the price up slightly.

But it's actually flicked between the two over the years.

A few years back, PlayStation fans were complaining the games were always cheaper on Xbox.

I guess it would depend on what game you're looking at? From a very quick glance, I can't think of any games that were drastically cheaper on PlayStation compared to Xbox.

YO! DJMax 80% off on its first sale? Sold! And a bunch of DLC on equally steep discount, wow. It almost feels like an error, that's cheaper than it's even been on Steam, but it seems Playstation has had prices that low so I'ma trust it. I wonder how the DLC ratios will fluctuate between new players and new unlocks.

Gonna buy Death Stranding too, leaves Game Pass tomorrow so last chance for the 20% discount. Windows games really don't see sales that often, not worth waiting for a deeper sale that may never come just for a few extra dollars off.

EDIT: $84 for DJMax plus most DLC (anything 70%+ minus the song unlock pack). One of those $2 DLCs doesn't seem to have achievements but it's just $2 for 8 more songs, may as well indulge. Definitely gonna have to pick up an extra shift at work to justify this...

EDIT 2: FML Ty 1 and 2 are on sale again too! I've been wanting them...anybody saying this week is bad sucks!

Wavetale, for example, is $11.99 on PSN right now, $17.99 on Xbox.
There no excuses for this shit; it's simply Microsoft being greedy.
    Gotta fund that Activision buyout.
Publishers set the prices, not Microsoft...

Wavetale is only $11.99 if you have PS Plus.

It is $16.49 without PS Plus, so just $1 behind Xbox.

Are you doing the gamer thing where you don't give the full story and just rage in the hope people won't do their research? If so, kudos. But this isn't Reddit.

If you look hard enough (and I can't be bothered to look hard enough), you'll likely find some Xbox games cheaper than on Playstation.

    Good sale this time.

Here in Brasil, games on Xbox marketplace are cheaper then PSN.
    This.

I believe Microsoft stopped selling the xbone digital version of cyberpunk and forces you to buy the series s-x version.

Meanwhile playstation still sells the ps4 version, the game used to come with a free upgrade, so playstation has a price advantage there.
