Ubisoft+ now available on Xbox, costs more than Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

"Hey, you know all those games that go on sale all the time that you never buy because they're all from franchises where if you've played one game you've played them all and you only ever buy in once they start going dirt cheap in the sales? How would you like to pay way more money than the entire collection is worth to play them?"

    Yeah I'm good.

is an awful deal though I could most certainly see purchasing it for a month or two just to play everything on that list as a sort of game rental

The current pricing structure cannot possibly be targeted towards subscribing a lot of Xbox users.

Game Pass has a console-first pricing structure:
    - Xbox Game Pass Console: $ 9.99 | 9,99 € | £ 7.99 a month
    - Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: $14.99 | 12,99 € | £10.99 a month
--> Both tiers offer the same number of Game Pass games on Xbox. Upgrading to Ultimate adds Gold and EA Play subscription, benefiting console players even more.

Ubisoft has a PC-first pricing structure:
    - PC Access: $14.99 | 14,99 € | £12.99 a month
    - Multi Access: $17.99 | 17,99 € | £14.99 a month
--> Unfortunately, both tiers do not offer the same number of games (over 100 vs over 60) on Xbox. Upgrading to Multi Access means paying more while getting less on Xbox. This tier-structure seems to be targeted towards already-subscribed PC players, owning an Xbox, who are willing to pay an additional $3 | 3 € | £2 a month to be able to play select games on their console as well. A rather small target group...

Regardless of (perceived) value of Ubisoft games, the pricing makes zero sense, especially for console-only players. Launching on Xbox, Ubisoft should have launched a "Console Access" counterpart to Microsoft's "Xbox Game Pass PC" to have a price structure that targets both PC(+Console) AND console-only players. Hard to understand how they missed that...

Should this new tier "Console Access" ever be launched, having the exact same number of games and benefits, I expect Ubisoft to use the same pricing as PC Access: $14.99 | 14,99 € | £12.99 a month. However, since that is not the case right now, the pricing needs to be lower to attract more players.

Personally, I hope that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (like PlayStation Plus) will eventually include Ubisoft+ Classics. And for those that want the complete Ubisoft+ catalog, an "All Access" add-on option for around $ 7.99 | 7,99 € | £ 6.99 a month. While I am at it, EA should follow suit for EA Play with a "Pro" add-on option.

Doesn't make much sense unless you just started gaming and needs to see what ubi soft has to offer. I admit I buy the games when they are cheap enough, but GPU is just much better (diverse) value, and you only have what time you have each month too. Seems a very unrealistic pricing that's making it an easy no thanks also.
    Beware of the grammar police!

Might get it every once in awhile, but that isn’t a good price. Hard to play the new bloated Assassins Creed games in a month with my schedule

Hard pass until they add it to GPU, but if that ever happens, the price for GPU will probably double, so I hope it doesn't.

Does UBI+ include all the DLC? I’m hearing conflicting accounts

For most games, yes. There are some where it doesn't.

    Thanks.

I noticed in the only game I wanted DLC (AC Odyssey) it doesn’t have it, but all other AC games have it. Quite odd.

    Hello,

I just took the trial version and wanted to do the paying DLC for Watch_Dogs: Legion, as I already have the base game myself.

    Two disappointments:
1/ The only editions available in Ubi+ don't include Bloodline.
2/ I just can't download the Deluxe edition with Ubi+, it says to install Ubi+. But there is no app for it on console, right? It brings me to my account settings but impossible to install/launch the game. And when I check the base game only, also available in Ubi+, I can play it.

I noticed that when games have several editions, I can't install it, no option for it. But when I check a game with only the base edition, I can play it.
Does the menu brings me back to my account subscriptions just because after subscribing to Ubi+ I turned off the automatic payment renewal? I do it all the time with Game Pass or others, and no problem. And I CAN launch Ubi games that don't have multiple editions, so that's strange. I can play the base WD3 game, why not the Deluxe edition whereas is included in Ubi+? There's something I don't understand, there.

    Thanks for the help.

If you get Ubisoft+ for PC will you unlock xbox achievements? or if you get the £15 one will you get xbox achievements if you download the games on PC?
