Even with day one releases (which Game Pass has tons of) and all DLC (which Game Pass almost always lacks), I could never justify paying MORE than Game Pass Ultimate to access one quarter of the games.

Ubilame has reached a record in greed, even EA has a better service at a, actually, understandable price.
You get almost a year of EA Play for one month of Ubigreed's service.

No! Don't go there, it's called greed, the drug that kills the most people of all. and you get uglier on it than on meth..

Meh. As I've said elsewhere, most of the games of any real interest have been given away with GwG, been on cheap sales many times and/or are repetitive enough in their design that you wouldn't want to go through all of them in one go. The selection could have been cool for half that price, but for any seasoned gamer there's no value for money here, other than the ability to access newer games cheap. But, even then, the design of the most recent games suggest they'll be concentrating on adding monthly content to force people to sub for a while, so there's not even savings there.

Seems like a weird strategy, given that it invites direct comparisons to Game Pass, which by most metrics offers way better value for money and cheaper. I'd have said a sub-$10 subscription would have encouraged people to sub long term even when not actively playing anything, while this makes sure most people are only going to sub for one month when the new release comes out then cancel.

So, the jury's out on what happens long term and when new games start getting added, but on this first glance, UbiSoft aren't getting a penny from me yet.

They have literally had massive amounts of success with this, though. Why would it not be a success on Xbox?
It's more expensive, is competing directly with a service that's cheaper and offers way more content, and they aren't offering a great deal at launch that hasn't already been packaged with other deals in the past, be they free giveaways or heavy discounts.

We'll see how it goes, but after all the waiting and confusion, it's not a particularly attractive offering for a lot of people. It might be cool for new XBox owners who don't sub to GP but really want to get their teeth into the back catalogue, but I'm not sure how big that market actually is, and they don't seem to be offering much to people outside of that group.

Way too pricy for a bunch of games I've been given with gold/already on gamepass or bought because all these games have been 80%-90% off on most major sales lol

The Man who fights Fake Positivity and Drama Queen Negativity Attention is back here!

Yall always cry here about the Open Worlds. And i think that this is kinda unthankful. As a 33 year old Gamer, who literally grew up with Games that had less Pixels then most of your Age, I can tell you this. Ive never ever seen a Dev, that makes such great Open Worlds. Seriously... I dont even know why you guys are crying about it everytime you have the possibility too? I know a lot of Gamers in RL, and not one of them is like you guys are on the internet. It really feels like this place just became a HIVE for people to cry about stuff.

I wont argue with the Fact, that the price is way too high, but its still better then paying 70-80 quids for a new Game. Because the truth is, you really dont need more then a month to finish a Game. Still - Not a good deal but a new way (at least for me) to play the upcoming ubi releases.

I like Ubi games, but this price is just dumb laugh the games go on very cheap sales after a very little while, including the gold editions etc..

hell no...it is cheaper in the long run to just buy one of their lengthy gamed and play it at your own pace instead of rushing through it in a month...not like most of them aren't in the weekly digital sales as it is
i think biggest point of why it cost so much is DLC inclusion.

for example, if it would be just 5$ like EA play, it would actually cost MORE in long run since you need to buy DLC for completion.

i think if if their games gonna added to GamePass, it would be great deal using U+ just for closing DLCs in all games
still you need to play through the main game before most dlcs show up and at that point you just get ubisoft plus and finish the DLC afterwards
for me it is the price point way to expensive and no free trial...get better value from gamepass or even just ea subscription by itself

Never underestimate the infinite stupidity of many and the infinite pockets of a few.

Personally, however, I am very entertained by this epic failure - tyvm Ubisoft, ty. laugh

Wow, I own a LOT of Ubisoft games....

Which is part of the problem, really - I suspect many of us do. This makes the value proposition questionable, even at a much lower price point.
