Like a Dragon's just a bit over the horizon. We can keep driving there.
The 80s had the best music. The 90s had the best movies. The 2000s had the best games. What do you have to offer?

Gonna get a month of Ubisoft+ to try out Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed. Some other games, too. $18 for Early Access and some other "trials" is fine for me.
I was going to buy the standard edition of Prince of Persia but the early access with Ubi+ pushed me in that direction to have more time to finish it before Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8.

EDIT: PoP is playable now with Ubi+ via the New Zealand trick.
Yeah, I was seriously just gonna buy the one game and then I was like damn, marketing got me. Haha I'll try it!
I'm escaping to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism...SPACE!

How are you surprised, given a) the way the industry has been going for years, and b) after Microsoft announced a digital-only refresh of the Series X which comes out later this year
Hadn't heard about this (I don't really follow game news and haven't for over a decade, just randomly come across articles sometimes, like this one) but that's awesome to hear and might lead me to finally upgrade from an S to an X. I had One X for a long time and hated the slot that just sat there getting lightly dusted over time. Physical games make no sense to me anymore, even after going through the hassle of having my Microsoft account lock me out for a month.

Also PoP has a demo, dunno why people that are interested haven't been playing that. I buy all AC games day one but otherwise wait a month and know it'll be close to 50% off! With Gamepass plus sales happening all the time I have way too many titles constantly being added to my collection, no need for me to rush unless it's been on my radar somehow

Palworld and Prince of Persia seem like the only "bigger" releases.

Guess Xbox is completely abandoning physical releases then, some of these games look interesting just wish there's a physical release too.
Prince of Persia is a physical release and the others really are Indy games or shitty Shovelware where you cant expect a physical release.

But having digital only is so conveeeeeeeenient. You stone age people need to get with the times, while we're here let's get rid of cash too and pay for things by tapping a chip implanted in our hands, much more convenient. Cash is dirty and can spread disease (and ideas) touch screens are covered in faeces, but lets just forget that. Who needs to be able to change a tyre, our ai robot friends will soon be doing that. It's so much more convenient that way. Just get in the pod and eat ze bugs.

Not denying it's more convenient, but the biggest factor for physical is re-selling them and another small factor is I like physical ownership. Not saying it's something you want but it is for me.

They haven’t officially announced that and for all we know that concept is outdated.

Edit: Message sending wasn’t really working that well so I ended up sending this thrice. Apologies for that.
