Rockstar ditches "major" Red Dead Online updates to focus on GTA 6

    Shock horror, Rockstar abandoning RDR2 online for GTA.

    Not really news as this has always been the case, shafting RDR2 in favour of the cash cow.

    Good.Rockstar should just focus on single player content permanently.Not every game needs multiplayer.

    This is honestly the best bit of all this news by far! Being forced into public sessions was such a killer for those businesses for me.

    I'm still surprised that the never launched a single player DLC for RDR2. I would have bought that Day 1.
    On the other hand, I have zero inclination to pay a single cent for RDR Online. Well, guess it's never coming after all...

    Shame about RDR2 Online, but Rockstar will just keep what the whales are paying for.

    What do you mean? They are abandoning RDR2's MP, for GTA's MP. This has nothing to do with SP at all.

    As much as I hate it, SP content doesn't make them billions a year. GTA Online does.

    It already wasn't/hasn't for literal years lol. Was abandoned for the more profitable multiplayer a long time ago

    Rockstars problem for many many years now, a lack of employees (that can do a proper job). They cut GTA V single player DLC to have more hands on Red Dead 2 and now cut Red Dead 2, for GTA laugh.

    Since GTA Online is Rockstars cashcow

    I have a feeling that GTA 6 will be single player and launch into the currently existing GTA Online.. while GTA online will get a major expansion

    It literally says dev resources for the next entry laugh

    Be nice if GTA 6 were 100% SP. Rockstar can continue to peddle shark cards for their current GTA Online.
