Or just wait for the complete bundle to go on sale again. I picked up the game and all DLC for less than $31.98 USD. That was nearly a year ago too so you should be able to find it even cheaper now.
They must have been what I did, as I just looked and I already have everything, except for the season pass, lol. I have everything the season pass gives you, but not the season pass itself.

Actually the complete edition is on sale right now for 75% off as noted in the article, skimmed past that I guess. For only a couple dollars more than currently buying the season pass and Ragnarok. So I'd say just buy the complete edition, and you'll get the DLC listed here for the same price, plus the base game for a couple bucks, it'll leave Gamepass at some point, might as well get the main game for the price of a soda as well.

By the time I will start this game (in a few years), there must've been a better deal.
Looks like the complete edition was 85% off at one point, so 10% more than it is now, might be that cheap again. I have a feeling that must have been when I bought it.

So no gold edition bundles the base game and all DLC with achievements but this complete edition mandatorily makes you buy unwanted and unnecessary skin/outfit/weapon packs along with base game and 3 paid-DLCs? That sucks, What a stupid money grab. Looks like the highest discount was 85% which cost $20, then they probably give a 90% off at the end of 2024

I'm confused, are you complaining about getting more for less? I don't know, a full 60-70 dollar game plus 4 paid DLCs, plus more for 20 bucks sounds good to me.

If you think that’s a good deal for you, go ahead and buy it any time you want.

I meant they added unnecessary stuff to the bundle and make people buy it, but instead they could had just bundled all paid-DLCs with achievements with the base game for a cheaper price you know

I just don't understand I guess, how much cheaper then 20 bucks for what would normally cost 130+ dollars would it be without the extra weapons/gear DLCs, a few dollars cheaper at the most?

$130+ is obviously a ridiculous price tag. Base game $60, but they ask for each $25 individually for all 3 DLCs with achievements, obviously these are overpriced. And that stupid season pass doesn’t even include the 3rd DLC? Lol Then they added unnecessary contents to make it look like you do get a handful of stuff but still at that ridiculous price. How much discount they offer doesn’t matter, the only thing that matters is the actual price you pay. 75% off looks like a good discount, but how about the actual price? $35. I’d prefer a “gold edition” to only include the base game with 3 paid-DLCs for some price at $15 to $20 at countdown or other big sales. Hope you get some understanding

Does anyone have any experience getting a month of Ubisoft+ to just mop up the DLC? I finished AC Origins last week and have been working through Valhalla. Additionally, based on the ratings, people didn’t seem to like AC:V DLC, especially the mastery achievements.
I bought a months Ubi+ to play Mirage and it worked well, Ubisoft games can be awkward about letting you access a save without all the content you've had installed at one point. Like I can't play my Origins save on the cloud without having the DLC installed.

So I'd be worried if someone uses a months Ubi+ for the DLC you will need stay subscribed or buy the same version to continue playing which can work well if it's the last content and don't intend to touch the save again
Haven’t tried it myself but I am just curious, you mean all DLCs need to be installed to play via cloud? So cloud play of Ubi+ is only for base games then? It can be bad if someone’s internet is slow.

Did you use credit card? Can’t think of buying prepaid cards for the sake of using up any remaining balance like the actual month cost is $15 but only $20 cards are available so in order to use that remaining $5 I will have to buy another $20 cards. and then I get yet another $10 on my account to worry about. And how about auto-renewal options of it? Can you set it to auto-unsubscribe? Sorry no offense but I am just wondering

Oh the game works but I can't load my previous save without The Curse of the Pharaohs and The Hidden Ones content. So I'd be worried if I played Valhalla on Ubi+ that if I tried to later play it without the GP that it wouldn't let me access that save.

It was on sale at your price some weeks ago, for the price of one season pass I got the complete valhalla base + 3 dlcs + cosmetics.
Below than 20€ for everything? It seems to be impossible.

You mean playing DLCs will “corrupt” base game saves? In case someone owns the base game, he wants full completion so he subscribed one month of ubi+ and get his completion. After that once he unsubscribes the service and launches the base game again, all saves are no longer accessible for lacking of the DLCs? That’s some new situation that has never happened before. Okay I see, I will just wait for massive sales and grab it then. Thanks

If current me cared as much about DLC as past me did.

But past me thought I'd like the AC series without experiencing it first.

My own opinion is that the dlc is very weak and those mastery challenges are pure dog shit. I dont mind not being good enough or something being hard but they are broken.
If you are going for the full completion of everything I would recommend to actually purchase it as you will need to step away and come back, especially as you will be under pressure to do it within the ubisoft+ timeframe
The Irish and French expansions were kind of neat, since they actually tie in to historical events. And there are some cool gameplay mechanics added to the open world. But The Dawn of Ragnarök mythology one is not my favorite. Would not recommend.
The 80s had the best music. The 90s had the best movies. The 2000s had the best games. What do you have to offer?

On the back of this article I bought the Complete Edition for all the DLC. Upon firing up the game found I'm currently one of the "43 %" club never having made it to England's shores, last played in Feb '21, almost three years ago!! #SKOL toast
