You really can't, that's one of the major flaws on this site. I believe if you have completed the XB1 version of the game, you can transfer your save over and everything pops when you start the game. Now sure, that may take less than an hour, but you have to put in the full time on the XB1 version 1st.

It's misleading because someone may think they can get it done quick from scratch.

I've ran into a lot of rank 7981 users online, they have unlocked all the possible GTA Online achievements. I messaged one of them and they responded that they have been using hacks.

Are you able to transfer your single player progress too? I assumed it was only GTA Online.

Yes, you can transfer one save file for single player. It can only be done one time though. You have to upload it in the prior gen version and then it will be available on the Series X/S version. You'll get any achievements you unlocked in the older version.

Yup, the majority of the timers on this site are misleading, all covering tricks (like this GTA V "complete on Xbox One first") or hacks/cheats like Surviving Mars console commands.... TA would be a million better times better source of information if they split the "time taken" into two piles; one list for those just cheesed the achievements and one list for those who actually played the game

I agree that including autopop situations like this in completion times is misleading, but the vast majority of games do not have a way to cheese a faster completion. It's very few games that have autopops from transferable progress or console commands.

Does transfering a save unlock online achievements as well?
Or will I have to transfer my online character as well?

You have to do both if you want all of the achievements you got in the Xbox One version. You can do story mode save for the single player achievements, and then an online character to get the online achievements. You can opt do just do one if you want too.

And under current rules it should not wipe anything on the One/4 version. You can even transfer a Playstation 4 online character to the Xbox Series version. Gave me all the online achievements, as did everything over there. But put in the same completion times I have on TrueTrophies, as they are normally played done.

That's right - you can just do one or the other if you want. If you already have the online done you can upload your character and get those achievements, and do the story upload later after you finish it on Xbox One.

If you have no previous save files to take advantage, playthroughs + online will generally be over 150hrs.

Xbox 360 completion is between 100-125hrs (lacks some achievements added for XB1)
    XB1 version's adds another 30+ish hours

So are the steps like.. login to XB1 version, in the menus there's an upload function for Single Player, then login to XSX and go into Single Player, download the save. Lastly go into GTA Online on the XSX without need to move a save, and it will pop, or does Online have a save you need to migrate also?

That's right - for single player you have to go into the Xbox One version and manually select the save to upload. GTA Online will just find your character once you log into the Rockstar Social Club in the Series X/S version. Also you no longer lose your character from the previous generation; they just changed it so it will stay on the Xbox One version, but it will progress separately from your Series X/S version from that point forward.
