That was about 10yrs before I was born :P I'm not quite that old yet but I'm slowly getting there :P Awesome your still into gaming all these years later though :D

Hope you enjoy KOTOR! A friend had me play it a long time ago and I had so much fun I spent quite awhile hunting down my own copy of it! I still hope to find KOTOR 2 on disc even after picking it up on digital but I somehow doubt I'll find that one for a decent copy/price. If servers stop trying to shut down for a bit I could catch up on things and play through them again finally though! :D
I've played KOTOR over half a dozen times on the original XBox, Windows PC, and Apple PC. Drew Karpashyn, of Mass Effect fame was the lead writer--he's one of my favorites. It was based on a Dark Horse comic series, Tales of the Jedi, that ran in the mid-1990s.

So, although it was canon, because its time frame occurred long before the movies, it did not conflict with the media franchise. This meant the game had much more artistic freedom because it didn't come under any constraints imposed by the movies. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, in contrast, ended up being a wild goose chase. The plot went nowhere because it would have interfered with the movie story line.

I didn't know any of that, that's pretty cool. I've read a couple of the older books a long time ago and remember a couple of the storylines being pretty messed up when the prequels and sequels came out eventually. I think I know the comics you are mentioning though, I remember buying my brother a couple for his birthday when we were younger.

With my metered bandwidth I can't do Fallen Order (or any other X1 or newer systems) but I've heard that game was a bit of a let down. Perhaps that was why. I thought I heard it was getting a sequel still though?

Civilization 6 has been broken since June. I can't recommend it right now.

Fallen Order's a pretty decent game wrt production values but its story goes nowhere--literally. No spoilers but, had the mission been successful, it would have impacted the movie story line. So, the game bails out at the end which means you've done a lot of planet hopping to no end. However, the visuals are great as is the game play. But, if you're looking for a story on par with KOTOR as I am, you'll be disappointed.

If I can ever upgrade to an X1 or better I'll keep that in mind, thanks! I have seen some gameplay of it, usually the glitchy stuff but it did seem fun. Too bad for the story though.

    GTA Trilogy

Microsoft $38.99 for a digital game that could disappear (and some at Rockstar wish would)

Amazon $19.99 for a collection you’ll regret having paid for the rest of your life

All jokes aside bought my first physical disc since Mafia III. I started SA in GP and have doubts Rockstar will ever bring the others to GP given the reception to them
Thanks for the heads up on the discount on physical disc on Amazon, went and added it to my cart.

Looks like the only way, currently, to obtain the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Dlc is to get the STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Digital Deluxe Edition. Neither the DLC individually nor the season pass seem to be available for purchase yet.
62 bucks just seems kinda high. I've only played one FF game before....the free hack and slash beat em up that was released a few years ago. Is this more like Devil May Cry or God Of War? Not really into a whole lot of turn based stuff unless it's Gears Tactics or Kotor.

It is very pricey. I was looking to spend 40 USD for the rewards punch card so this was more than I'd planned to spend.

I'm sure the DLC and the season pass will be made available in the store soon. They are available on the PC. However, even so, it's very expensive. In fact, the Deluxe Digital Edition (on sale) is the least expensive option to get all the content.

Yeah looks like more DLC is coming anyway, might as well get the deluxe edition.

That's what I thought. I had sticker shock over the undiscounted price of 89.99 USD. The 4000 rewards points from the Ultimate Sale punch card equates to about 4 USD. So, the end price was about 59 USD. Since the going rate for undiscounted AAA games is about 70 USD, that's not a bad deal. But when you play a number of GamePass games, you wince when you have to lay down the big bucks. smile
