Lmao @ the people who thought Rockstar needs the Video Game Awards. GTA6 is massively bigger than the Keighleys and I doubt they could afford what Rockstar would ask for.

OT - GTA VI, gameplay wise is going to be amazing, the world is going to be staggering, but even if the online portion is huge, it's going to seem sparse at launch and fo a long time after, content wise, compared to the decade of regular drops V fans got accustomed to. Couple that with the threat of the previously equal opportunities, 'everyone is a target for caricature and mockery' ethos of V, shifting to either a 'let's not offend anyone', or worse, a biased political messaging exercise, and there is potential for GTA VI to become the most hated game of all time. Regardless, Rockstar are going to have an obscene amount of cash to count.

Woke is a left wing term which describes itself. In which adherents compete with each other to have the greatest progressive stack of grievances, because the only valid moral and political currency isn't truth, but falsified victimhood. With the ultimate intent of those funding and promoting the agenda as seizing and redistributing the world's resources to a tiny clique of elites, whist the remaining 99.99999999% of mankind 'owns nothing and is happy', would that be ok with you? Or do we need to qualify that with a quick lesson on how Marxism was transformed by institutions like the Fabian Society and the Frankfurt School, and later numerous think tanks, in doing so shifting the economic owner/worker grievance meta that enabled bloody revolution in poor countries, but didn't wash in prosperous states, into today's 'blame the white man for everything', frogs in the pot, tip toe into totalitarianism angle?

It'll really depend on the single player/online split for me personally, I had absolutely no interest in GTA:O and after how focussed it quickly became and with how they tried to push it huge on RDR, i'm skeptical about the single player as it was already a massive cashcow in GTA.

Won't watch the show but will be here on TA reading everything about what went down

Which is part of the reason the left has to continuously shift it's use of language, it's not just the purity spiral shifting the Overton Window, creating new opportunities for words to become offensive. Even if the left became static (impossible) just using left wing terms as they are defined by the left would always inevitably become insulting to the left, because their values and ideas are so patently abhorrent to the average person. The stigma creates itself when the left astroturfs their new buzzwords via the media, and those who are naturally agreeable and conformist parrot them ad nauseam, and too, with a morally superior tone, mock and admonish those who are not yet buying into the latest dystopian content drop, never failing to signal to people that they themselves are definitely part of the 'insert new buzzword' club.

People who oppose take a while to catch on because everything is always repackaged with an ostensibly friendly, often emotive and euphemistic label that belies the nefarious intent behind it. But then people start to notice the behaviour or motives of the people who throw the new word around. 'Woke', 'Diversity is our strength', etc, meme grade ironic mockery ensues... And of course the opposite comes into play when they are labelling enemies; 'Nazi', 'Far right extremist', 'Fascist', etc... massively disproportionate verbal attacks for holding yesterdays views, they try to destroy peoples' lives for wrongthink. The result is the left destroys it's own terminology the way it destroys it's own followers, until in the end only the most rabid of ideologues remain to enact the purge, man the gulag's guard towers and operate the torture chambers. And the victims can point at their oppressors and say 'woke' and everybody knows it's true, even though the guilty are 5 buzzword labels for themselves further down the road to damnation.

If the ideology was sound, there would be no need to change terms or change the parameters of acceptable behaviour. Terms shouldn't be so easy to co-opt.
