Wonder if this means we will never see Series X/S improvements for RDR2

After going back to Vice City recently, it's really sad to see what Rockstar has become.

I loved RDR. RDR 2 was too much role playing. I don't recall but in GTA did you have to stop & get gas & oil changes? New tires?

Adorable that they announce this now as if it's only just happening now, after not releasing any content for a year. They clearly just don't want to admit they had already stopped.

It's a shame that rockstar now will make every game with an unnecessary multiplayer trying to be a copy of GTA with more cashgrabbing multiplayer content. I would have pay anything for a sp zombie expansion...

Ability to launch Sell Missions in Invite Only sessions ? HELL YEAH !
This is one of the reasons I stopped doing sell missions.
Now that this is becoming a reality, I am really happy to say I will be selling again!

I mean, there are races that have tyre wear enabled so you have to change them, so, kinda?

Nothing wrong with a game having RPG elements anyway

I have to agree with WillB636. Nothing against anybody for loving RDR2, all the power to ya. But I thought it was way too tedious. As a western simulator, the game is amazing, but as a game, I found it extremely frustrating. Just traversing the map felt like a chore at times.

And for supposedly being an open world game, the single player missions in RDR2 took away all player choice, restricting every aspect of your character so that the mission kept just the right cinematic vision. The game has a major identity crisis between its story and free range modes.

I hope that with GTA VI Rockstar figures out whether they want to go back to making open world sandboxes again, or just stick to giving us interactive movies.
    Shields high.

I have a feeling that GTA 6 will be single player and launch into the currently existing GTA Online.. while GTA online will get a major expansion
I'd be okay with this. But Rockstar are not the company to actually learn from their mistakes. Rumour has it remasters of RDR and GTA4 have been scrapped because of reception to the GTA: DA Trilogy. That is not learning, that is avoidance. So we'll get a GTA Online 2 or something. If CoD Warzone can do Warzone 2, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a GTA Online 2.

Is it too much to ask for a 60fps patch for both RDR games? I'd happily pay $10 each for those patches. Sony only charged $10 if updating the physical copies of Uncharted 4/ Lost Legacy to the 4k or 60fps update.

I have yet to start this game (but was thinking about starting it soon). Could you elaborate on what you mean? Are you worried about servers shutting down, or does this news suggest that earning the online achievements will become more difficult?

Borderline criminal the way RD2O was abandoned by RockStar. Very disappointed.

I feared that this would happen but that still won't stop from getting RDR2. I just won't continue playing after I get all of the achievements in the game.
I PLAY TO HAVE FUN!!!! I do tend to play solo most of the time but always willing to play with others if they have time for that of course. TA ROCKS!!
