Vampire Survivors will soon add Adventures for free in an upcoming update, bringing "self-contained miniature story modes that reset and remix the game's content" to the game. Check out the trailer below.

"Adventures are self-contained miniature story modes that reset and remix the game's content, following the Survivors cast on a series of wacky sidequests," poncle says. "Each Adventure will offer a unique progression path, giving players an opportunity to start from scratch and face custom challenges with a limited arsenal — without losing precious unlocks in the main game."

The update will "launch soon," and although poncle has already confirmed it won't bring new Vampire Survivors achievements, it does bring plenty of other new stuff, as well as "its own form of unlocks."

According to poncle, "Each Adventure will be split up into Chapters that have a specific set-up (items, characters) and winning conditions (survive a certain amount of time, kill a certain amount of enemies). Each Adventure mission will also offer a little bit of lore text and connect the whole Adventure."

Your main game progress that comes over to Adventures with you will be your Relics and game modes you've already unlocked. Finishing Adventures, meanwhile, will give you a nice bit of gold to use in the main game, as well as occasionally giving you "unique new ways to unlock existing main game Relics."

To begin with, there will be two Adventures available from the base game and one "linked to a DLC." Adventures will feature as a "sort of mini campaign" and will have different playtimes, although poncle says the first couple of Adventures should take "an hour or two each to finish for the first time" — and, interestingly, "There might also be something to do once you have finished an Adventure."

We'll keep an ear out for a release date for this update.
