Laxasia the Complete is a straight forward fight at the beginning and speeds up significantly in the end. Summon a specter if you want to make this fight easier to handle, but it won’t simplify the fight entirely. If you upgraded the P-Organ to increase special grindstone uses, the second application helps finish the boss off.
Gear Setup
What gear you bring to the fight is entirely up to you and should match the attributes you have leveled up. Here is the setup that was used in making this guide:
- Weapon: Bone-Cutting Sawblade +10 & Big Pipe Wrench Handle
- Legion Arm: Aegis
- Amulets: Patience, Strength, & Blue Guardianship
- Frame: Arch Heavyweight
- Converter: Large Capacity Insulation
- Cartridge: Arch Break
- Liner: Workshop Union Certified
Phase 1
During phase 1, Laxasia is wearing armor which makes her move slowly around the area. Apply acid to your blade as soon as the specter takes focus. Then, use the Cube to buff the specter with something like the Protection Wishstone. Avoid building up shock if you can. Phase 1 ends when the health meter is fully depleted. Laxasia’s stagger weak point is to the right of her head.
- Slam & Shock: If the boss slams her sword down and holds it in place, stand back to avoid the explosion that follows.
- Leap Attack: When Laxasia leaps in the air, she will chain it with an attack like the Slam & Shock.
- Lightning Trail: If the boss drags her sword, leaving a trail of lightning and sweeping up at the end. Avoid standing near the lightning until after it explodes.
- 13-Hit Combo: Laxasia chains a combo of 13 hits starting slow and building up speed. Wait for the final strike, then counter while she is resting.
- Overhead Slam: Block or dodge when she raises her sword over her right shoulder.
- Squat & Explode: If you see the boss squat down with her sword pointed up, move away to avoid an explosion of electricity.
- 360 Swipe: Block or stand back when Laxasia spins in a full circle with her sword.
Phase 2
In phase 2, Laxasia will remove her armor and dash around the area quickly. If you have a Cube with a 2nd charge, wait until the specter has focus to use it. At the start of the phase, she will hover in the air and fire a barrage of lightning bursts at her target. If you’re the target, parry as many of them back to her as you can. Once the bursts finish, she will slam down on her target, dealing additional AoE shock damage.
When Laxasia staggers during phase 2, she will yell, then explode in a ball of lightning. As soon as she yells, back away, then move in for the fatal attack in the front on the right side.
- Lightning Bursts: Similar to the phase opening move, Laxasia will periodically jump in the air and fire 1-2 bursts at her target. If they are coming toward you, try to parry.
- Charged Attack: When the boss is covered in electricity, she will deal extra shock damage and it will build up quickly. Keep an eye on the shock meter.
- Teleport: During this phase, Laxasia will teleport quickly around the area, so keep some stamina in reserve to chase after her.
- Lightning Dash: The boss will leave a trail of orange lightning as she dashes and attacks in a combo.
- Kick & Swipe: Block or dodge when Laxasia opens a combo with a kick.
