If you've been having trouble with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre achievements — specifically the Perking Up achievement — then your troubles should be solved when a patch arrives for the game later today, bringing a wave of fixes with it.

The patch should begin rolling out today — September 12, at 2pm EST / 7pm BST. There are a number of fixes involved, one of which aims to address an issue with the Perking Up achievement. This achievement is for starting a match with a fully levelled up ability and three level three perks equipped, but as the TrueAchievements guides for this achievement also show, it's been causing some problems for some time. Today's patch should fix the issue and enable the achievement to unlock properly.

The rest of the fixes, detailed in these patch notes, look to speed up matchmaking and address issues with victims having problems with collision after being trapped and an issue which didn't show the "continue" option on the end screen for custom games. There are also changes to things like the start state for the car battery and updates on what's been fine-tuned.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre managed to rack up over one million players in its first 24 hours, so there might have been quite a few of you waiting for this achievement fix! If you're yet to check out the game, we've got The Texas Chain Saw Massacre review for you to have a read through too.
