When do you think Starfield will launch?

By Luke Albigés,

Bethesda's epic interstellar RPG Starfield is set to launch in the first half of 2023, with the team still yet to commit to a firm release date. So let's speculate a little... when do you think Starfield will release?

Starfield is getting ever closer to launch, and while we're waiting to see the Starfield achievements, it's one of the biggest Xbox Game Studios titles of the year, Bethesda's epic RPG will be looking to take on the best games on Game Pass when it does. But when will that actually be? Frankly, your guess is as good as ours... so let's open the floor to some guesses and see what the TA community settles on as the most likely release slot for Starfield.

What do you think the Starfield release date will be?

We know that Starfield won't be at the Xbox Developer Direct event later this month as it's getting its own showcase further down the line, but with news arriving today that we could expect release dates from the first event, it feels like confirmation of a final date might not be too far off. The game's support page was updated just last week and reiterates the release window of the first half of this year, which seems like it would be a bit of a weird thing to do if another delay was on the cards.

That said, depending on what else Microsoft has in store, Starfield would absolutely make a great pillar holiday game for Xbox, especially with so many other first-party games due in the next six months, so we perhaps shouldn't write off another delay just yet. Players would likely be happy to wait a little longer for a game of this scope and scale if it led to a better experience, right? Well, with all that in mind, let's hear what you think!
