Distributor Plaion (formerly known as Koch Media) recently updated its Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl listing. According to the newly-updated page, which was spotted by Twitter user Andrew Marmo, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will release for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and join Xbox Game Pass on December 1, 2023.

Marmo also spotted that Amazon Germany recently updated its Stalker 2 listing to include the December 1, 2023 release date.

GSC Game World is yet to announce an official release date, so it's worth taking this release date with a pinch of salt, as it could simply be an error or a placeholder. The developer has confirmed that the post-apocalyptic first-person shooter will be playable at Gamescom, so perhaps an official release date announcement will be made then.

Stalker 2 release date

Stalker 2 was originally down to launch in April 2022, but the FPS has been delayed a couple of times now, largely due to the war in Ukraine. In September, GSC Game World confirmed that Stalker 2 was still on track to release in 2023.

Last year, the Ukrainian studio shared a developer diary, revealing how Russia's invasion of Ukraine had impacted its employees and development on the game.
