On the plus side, it's got a delightful art style, the puzzles are just clever enough to be amusing without generally being frustrating (though sometimes you have to do some backtracking later in the game to finish certain puzzles), the music is good, and the voice acting is... acceptable.

On the downside, this is one of those games that wants to be Pixar. It's a cartoony game that wants to make you feel. I know some people look for that in games. I do not. If the game is cartoony, I want it to be fun and lighthearted, not to present some (admittedly decent) advice on dealing with grief. This is something that just drives me nuts, and it's definitely a personal preferences thing, but whoever decided that all games need to be IMPORTANT has done the industry and gamers a disservice (don't get me wrong, I am more than happy to have games get deeper, but I prefer it when that's put in a game that doesn't hide it under a veneer of fun and cheer; same reason I don't watch Pixar movies anymore). I was hoping for Psychonauts; I got Inside Out 2: Automotive Trauma. When's the last time a game actually made you laugh? Sigh... anyway, it does an okay job of the whole Pixar thing, but it's just not what I wanted or was looking for. I've also got to say that while the puzzles are enjoyable, the combat (such as it is) is frustrating and clunky. It just makes me think of Cocoon: that game had even less combat, but it was very cleverly designed so that it felt more like an interactive puzzle than a fight. Here, we've got janky dodge rolls with no i-frames, a really annoying press x for light attack, HOLD x for heavy attack system, and just plain dull enemies.

Also, be aware that certain achievements (particularly the ones for destroying all the tentacles and destroying all the spiders) are VERY glitchy. I got the tentacle one, but like many others, I'm stuck at 92% on the spiders even though I've gone through that section with a fine-tooth comb. If completionism is your thing, you might want to avoid it.
