It took a few weeks, but the first big Remnant II Xbox update is now rolling out to all players with numerous fixes and quality-of-life changes.

Remant 2 Xbox update includes achievement fixes and more

Since launch, players have been running into numerous problems with the Remant II achievements — several cumulative achievements, such as The Collector and The Trigger, would stop tracking for players, leaving them unable to unlock the achievement when meeting its requirements. According to this update's patch notes, Gunfire Games has "retroactively fixed several achievements that weren’t tracked correctly" and "retroactively fixed as many difficulty-based rewards as possible." The developer also notes that to unlock missing achievements, you'll need to interact with the World Stone.

We're seeing reports that while some achievements are unlocking retroactively, others are not, so your mileage may vary with this fix.

Elsewhere, the update increases the trait cap by +5, makes numerous buffs and nerfs to weapons and different archetypes, and includes loads of bug fixes and performance improvements. There are far too many changes to list here, but you can check out the patch notes over on the Remant II website.

Gunfire Games says it plans to release an additional update later this week that will address even more "balance changes, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements." The developer also revealed it's currently working on bringing cross-play to the third-person shooter.
