Now that the whole Xbox buying Activision drama is over and the big green machine has successfully absorbed them into the fold, Microsoft find themselves as the custodians of an enormous library of dormant IPs that they could leverage.

With the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the mind races with possibilities of old franchises they could bring back. Perhaps it’s finally time for Spyro the Dragon to get a new game — Crash Bandicoot got one, it’s only fair. Maybe Phil Spencer can smooth over the bad blood with Tony Hawk and get the Pro Skater series back onto the development half pipe? And let’s not forget Blizzard, who are apparently using the legendary StarCraft series as a drinks coaster around the office. Let’s dust that one off too.

But even before the Activision deal, Microsoft has been sitting on a dragon’s hoard of IP from their past that we’d love to see come back. Banjo Kazooie is begging for a modern interpretation, and big Phil Spencer has already said he’d love to see a MechAssault remake.

But what classic IPs do you want to see Microsoft revive? We’ve put some of our top picks below, but if we’ve missed your favourite out, let us know in the comments below.
