How to unlock the Old School Treasure Hunt achievement

    This achievement involves collecting Treasure Hoard maps (which are counted as Artifacts) and finding the reward/treasure that the maps lead to.

    There is a total of 21 Treasure Hoard maps and corresponding reward/treasure locations throughout Norway and England. To unlock this achievement you must collect any 5 of the 21 Treasure Hoard maps and then you must collect the reward/treasure the maps lead to for a total of 5 rewards collected.

    When you arrive at the reward location an item (the treasure/“loot”) should be there for you to press cn_Y to collect.

    Treasure Hoard maps that you have collected can be found in your inventory/bag and can be opened to find a clue as to where the reward/treasure is located.

    Bug:
    * As of December 1, 2020, there is a bug in which the treasure/“loot” at the reward location will not spawn. If the treasure does not spawn for you, it is best you move on to another location.
    Below are the locations of 10 Treasure Hoard maps and the locations of the reward/treasure that the maps lead to. Any 5 need to be completed to unlock this achievement:

    LegitBro94Achievement is bugged, I have checked all map locations and loot locations and all are empty. Still no achievement and I am stuck at 80%. Fantastic Ubisoft clap Does anyone have any solutions apart from restarting my 131 hour save game

    HD HPtwinsThank you, Metal Crusher! I was lucky enough to unlock this achievement today. I had 40% progress and most of the maps were found before looking into this achievement. So I went to the reward locations (Cent, Sciropescire, Ledecestrescire). All of which were there and I got the XP and progress made.

    I'm not sure why I got the achievement and LegitBro94 didn't since we were both going for it on the same day. Curious if you, LegitBro94, had any progress beforehand. That might be a clue as to why it behaved differently. Not sure.

    There are plenty of good guides out there for this one (I used powerpyx). The achievement didn't pop for me until I got my 6th reward (not 5th). I did notice that one of the six I thought I had found the map for, but I had not. So, unlike some other achievements on other AC games, I believe the key on this one is to actually GET THE MAP FIRST. In other words, don't just go get the hoard. All five that counted toward my total were maps I had IN INVENTORY before I went looking for the loot.

    Update: Apparently, the Oxenefordscire map is glitched. Possibly others. I have the map and collected the loot, but the map did NOT leave my inventory. Similarly, that map was one of the six I tried above. So it likely doesn't count towards this achievement even if you have it.

    Solution as of 6 December 2020 (Patch 1.0.4 on Xbox Series X)
