With so many flavors of Xbox hardware now available, many of us now have multiple different consoles to play our games on. Today's "My consoles" site update allows you to more easily manage your consoles and automatically set the correct default platforms on TrueAchievements for when you start new games.

You can set the consoles you own via the new "my consoles" page. Just click on "I own this console" and set the approximate date you started using it, and use the drag and drop handles to change the priority order.

This order is important, as when you next start a game we will use the highest priority console to determine the platform you are playing it on. For example, if Xbox Series X is your highest priority console and you start a game that's playable on both the Series X and Xbox One, then we will tag it as played on the Xbox Series X|S platform automatically.

After setting up your consoles there is also an "Update my game platforms" button. Press this and we will update the played on platforms for all of your games based on the "owned since" dates you've set. There's a confirmation popup prior to us changing anything which tells you have many platforms it will update, so if you change your mind, just hit cancel.

Using these gamer specific platforms, we also update the Platform Summary panel on your profile page. This will make the data far more accurate for the games in your collection.

This will also help us to make our awesome personalised infographics, such as My Xbox Story, more accurate in future.

We hope you find this new feature useful, and please let us know if you run into any issues.
