Here is the top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending December 31, 2023.

The final week of 2023 was mostly business as usual, which makes sense given the lack of new releases over the holidays. Fortnite holds onto the top spot, and the rest of the top nine is identical to last week, with one small exception as Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League swapped places.

The Finals continues its strong performance since launching at the start of December, holding onto ninth place. Forza Horizon 5 slipstreamed its way into last spot in the top ten, while Halo Infinite tumbled down a few spots to twelfth place. Meanwhile the mainline Forza Motorsport took a slow pit stop and dropped from 12th to 19th.

Further down the list, Sea of Stars and Hogwarts Legacy reappeared in the list — maybe off the back of their appearance in the GOTY tournament that we ran, or maybe because the holidays are a great time to start a massive RPG. Call of Duty: Black Ops II also sneaks back onto the list as it likes to do on occasion.

We're looking forward to 2024 now — let's hope that the new year brings us some great new games to fill our time, and our gameplay charts, with. The upcoming Game Pass games list is anything to go by, we're in for a great year.
