How to unlock the Maruto Cuts achievement

    SpellString is the starting weapon of Eleanor Uziron. This character can be unlocked for 500 coins after you have opened the coffin in Lake Foscari. You can also unlock the character by casting the spell in the secrets menu:

    While playing with this character, they start with SpellString. On level 10, SpellStream will drop on the ground near you, followed by SpellStrike on level 20.

    Once you've leveled up all these three weapons to the max, you can pick up a chest that is dropped by an elite. The chest might grant you the combination of these weapons: SpellStrom. However, if you have another weapon ready to be evolved, the chest might evolve that weapon first, as it's random.

    When you pick up a chest, it may not evolve/combine these three weapons even if you don't have another weapon at max level and ready to evolve.
    I seemed to have really bad luck, and I had these three weapons all maxed out and my other three weapons were all like level 1 or 2 still, but several chests I picked up kept just giving me more levels for my other weapons instead of evolving the ones for this achievement. So just lettng people know it may take many chests before you get the evolution no matter what.

    Czech Falcon@reelbiggerfish this is because certain chests do not grant evolution - this varies stage to stage. For example, the first chest in the first stage at 5 mins will never grant an evolution.

    Gamer0364Chests that drop within the first 10 minutes of the stage do not grant evolve weapons. This goes for recycle waves as well; if in Endless mode on a standard 30-minute stage, then chests dropped between minutes 30 and 40 won't evolve weapons since that is the same as minutes 0 and 10, just recycled.
