We haven't really heard anything about Bethesda's upcoming Indiana Jones title since its announcement back in January 2021, but Todd Howard appears to have teased that news on the game could be coming next year.

Indiana Jones reveal could be coming next year

In an interview with Esquire, Howard, who is an executive producer on the new Indiana Jones game, spoke about his love for the franchise and about the upcoming title, which is in development with Wolfenstein studio MachineGames.

"I am a giant Indiana Jones fan. It can be brought to video games in a unique way," Howard said. "The game is obviously: you’re exploring stuff. It’s about him. So if you’re playing the game, how do you feel that you are indeed playing versus just watching?"

The report notes that Howard wasn't allowed to talk more about the game, but he finished the interview by saying, "We'll talk next year."

In a recent interview with GQ, Howard also revealed that MachineGames had "got the whole Nazi killing thing down" and that the developer was "doing a really great job" on the game.

Indiana Jones has been confirmed as an Xbox exclusive, thanks to the fallout from Microsoft's trial with the Federal Trade Commission over the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. We can't wait to see what MachineGames has planned for our favorite archaeologist so hopefully Bethesda does spill the beans sooner rather than later.
