We're almost at the end of the TrueAchievements Game of the Year 2023 tournament, with Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 battling it out for the right to face Starfield in the finals.
Between them they snapped up the lion's share of the gold at this year's Game Awards, so it should be a surprise to anyone that Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 made it this far, but for one of them the journey ends here. Alan Wake 2 has already closed the book on Lies of P, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and Hogwarts Legacy — an impressive tally. Baldur's Gate 3 has knocked off some big hitters too though, besting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Sea of Stars, Forza Motorsport and Dead Space to be here. Only one of these excellent games can take a spot in the final though, so who is it going to be?
At the start of this tournament, we had AAA games in the top bracket and indie and other smaller titles into a second bracket, to make sure everything had a fair chance. It's a great way to get a good discussion kicking off in the comments about this year's best Xbox games.
