The full launch of EA's next football game is just a couple of days away, and thanks to early access and a free trial with EA Play, many of you have already started unlocking the EA Sports FC 24 achievements. With the new game on the horizon, EA has now pulled FIFA 23 from the Xbox store without warning.

Both FIFA 23 and FIFA 23 (Xbox One) can no longer be purchased from the Xbox store, though they can still be played with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play, and of course, physical copies of the game are still available.

Numerous reports suggest that EA suddenly delisted its entire FIFA back catalog last night as EA and FIFA's licensing agreement was coming to an end, but in terms of the Xbox store, this isn't the case. FIFA 22 (though still available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play) was delisted back in May this year, around the time FIFA 23 hit EA Play. Older iterations of FIFA were also delisted many moons ago, so it appears that FIFA 23's store removal is just a routine sports game delisting.

Earlier this year, EA announced the servers of multiple legacy FIFA games are due to close in November.
