Studio MDHR co-director Maja Moldenhauer told Xbox Wire. ”We thought it would be fun to give this to our Xbox community as a gift on the game’s anniversary, as our Cuphead journey really started with the release on Xbox,” says Chad. “In game development, plans like that don’t always work out, but we were fortunate that all our testing and finalization for the update seemed to finish with enough time to launch on the game’s sixth birthday!”The Anniversary Update will roll out on September 29 for all players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows as an automatic download — it's a great reason to jump back into one of the best Xbox platformers!More Cuphead stories: Contest: Win a physical Limited Edition copy of Cuphead for Xbox Physical Xbox editions of Cuphead now available to order Best platformers on Xbox Cuphead is finally getting a physical release after five years BS GS: Crazy achievements we're glad aren't real #1 — Cuphead Game UpdateXbox Series X|SXbox OneWindows Written by Tom WestTom has been playing video games since he was old enough to hold a controller, experimenting with a number of systems until he eventually fell in love with Xbox.
