  Don't start grinding this until after you have completed the Camp Fire Cookoff DLC campaign. My tracker was at 39% once I had finished getting 3 stars on every level.
  
  I would also suggest not grinding this out until after you have unlocked Tree Hater, since if you use the level 2-3 to grind chopping and burning wood, you have to pull it from a backpack.
  
  If you still need some after unlocking Tree Hater, simply load up any level with a back pack and after one chef equips it with , get the other chef/chefs to start grabbing items out of the backpack and tossing them across the level with . If you get into a grove you can throw out hundreds of items in a matter of minutes. (levels with backpacks are 1-3, 2-2, 2-3, etc)

  My tracker never got stuck during grinding, but it also doesn't show progress until after you've completed or quit a level.
  
  It might be an issue on Xbox's side. I'd leave it for a day or two and come back and try again.

  I prefer standing by a bin as well and then you can just hammer pickup drop and it doesn't create too much mess. Much easier to just use 1 button.

  As Dyet1300 suggested, finish getting 3 stars on every level before grinding this out.
  
  Level: 1-3
  Method: With one character, put the backpack on and position in the bottom right corner where the cutting board is, and face to the right. With your other character, position next to the backpack, facing upward in a way that keeps the backpack highlighted. Then just spam A and X without having to move either character. You can get 2-3 per second like this and finish this in no time. There’s no need to finish the level as this will unlock immediately after taking your 500th item from the backpack.

  This will be same as my tree hater solution except on level 1-3. Load up the level put the backpack on and have other chef start unloading. The time doesn't start until you serve the first order so you can finish whatever you have left in one sitting. I was at 64% when I started and it took me maybe 5 min. The achievement will pop mid game even though the tracker on xbox doesn't update until after you finish the level.
