After conquering Norway, England, and beyond, Eivor is now taking on Xbox Game Pass. This seems as good a time as any to delve into some Assassin's Creed Valhalla achievements stats. Let’s begin!

Interestingly, 22% of the tracked gamers here on TrueAchievements haven’t unlocked the To England! achievement for leaving Norway. When looking at the global Xbox unlock percentage, that’s about 43% of Xbox players who didn’t leave Norway. A bit of context here: 100% of the tracked gamers on TA unlocked the achievement for completing the prologue — it’s unmissable — but between that initial prologue and being ready to head out for England is the long, snowy, stretch of Norway.

Even if you don’t do all the side stuff in Norway (and this is an Assassin’s Creed game, so there’s a lot of side stuff just on that first map) it’ll still take a while to get far enough in the story for them to let you sail off for England. There might be plenty of reasons for players not heading off from Norway, but it also seems like Valhalla shot itself in the foot here, since the game doesn’t really open up properly until you’re established in England. If 22% of registered players on TA didn’t want to continue after Norway, it doesn’t bode well for how impressive that first opening arc of the game is. We liked the game in our first impressions, but still had to admit that that opening arc can be a bit of a slog.

Sure, this data comes from after Valhalla joined Game Pass, and new players won’t have had long with the game yet. But the stats for this achievement weren’t much different yesterday either: 21% of the tracked gamers here on TrueAchievements (43% of Xbox players overall) hadn’t unlocked the To England! Achievement.

The achievement with the current highest TA score for the base game — over a number of big late-game story achievements, and the achievement for completing all territories — is Overdesign II, with a TA score of 117. This achievement asks for a tricky and very specific scenario: that you kill three hard difficulty soldiers without breaking their shields, while you’re on fire during a fight. Not to worry, though, as there are some great Overdesign II achievement guides here on the site.

That Completionist All the Way! Achievement for completing all territories is still more than slightly alarming. Completing all territories means finding every Mystery, Wealth, and Artifact across all the maps, and there are a lot. As it stands on TA, 27,308 of 274,434 tracked gamers have unlocked this achievement — about 9%. This one achievement will take a lot of time, and we already have one comment on an Completionist All the Way! achievement guide from this year which suggests some collectibles aren’t registering properly.

Another thing to look out for on your Valhalla playthrough is the Good Catch! Achievement, which is still listed as buggy. This achievement apparently unlocks for catching a fish of each type with the fishing line, but the Good Catch! achievement guides mention that it doesn’t necessarily have to be the fishing line — a bow and arrows might work too.

As we progress through the week, more people will get a chance to pick up Valhalla — and we think you should definitely give it a try!
