Making the Jump from FC3 -> FC4
Far Cry 3 for me was a Gamer tag boost. I'll make no secret about it.

It was a mixture of hunt, kill, collect, shoot, swear, take-down, skin, sprint, swear some more, shoot some more, swear EVEN more. Granted, I shouldn't have loaded myself up with the hardest difficulty. But its not every day you end up in a wooden cage, trying to escape an Island. Considering the praise this game gets, I wanted the full effect.

Everyone who has played FC3 will pay homage to the good bits. I'm not gonna list them, and it's all opinion. I found a lot of issues, many of them because of the sequel. The problem is this.....

When I played Assassins Creed for the 1st time I loved it. So much so, I bought the guide!!!! A complete no for me 99% of the time as you can get it all online for free. But I just wanted more and more. I had to find everything, kill everyone, 100 sync every mission - and of course it is exactly what happened with FC3.

My Mrs has a major blow out over this game, its so moorish, and inevitably...becomes obsessive. It really is a achievement whore's dream.

With Co-Op left to do on FC3, I grabbed a new copy of FC4 for £20 and settled down for the evening, and wow what a transformation.

I've got to start off with the obvious. The graphics on this game is stunning, Absolutely stunning. I am running it on a 4k TV with advanced HDMI output, but even on a 40" LED, its gonna be good. The feel of the game flows so much better. I always felt there was a lot of waiting in FC3. I don't know how to explain it in words.

Maybe it's something to do with actually having a load bar, instead of just a screen. The interactions now have a white halo that spins on action ( again simple but effective ), that ACTUALLY lets you know something is happening.

For those of you that have already played this, you may have guessed that I'm not that far. Literally 2.00% complete, with nothing but an open map ahead, but even the map looks stunning in game. Start screen is SO much better laid out, and feels so much more crisp.
