How to unlock the Aldmeri Master Explorer achievement

This achievement is unlocked once you have cleared all caves and striking locales in each area in the Aldmeri Dominion territory and unlocked the in game 'Aldmeri Master Explorer' achievement.

A 'cleared' cave/locale will show up on your map as white.

You only have to clear striking locales and caves (not any other area such as towns/dungeons).

If you go to your menu, journal, achievements, then exploration you can look through the list for "[Area] Cave Delver" and "[Area] Pathfinder" to see how much progress you have towards the achievement in that area.

    Striking locales:

Striking Locales show up on the map as an eye.

Simply enter the area where the eye is and it should discover it. This classes it as being cleared.

    Caves:

Caves show up on the map as a tilted torch.

Caves often have a quest in them, but this is not necessary to complete for the area to be 'cleared'. Instead you can ignore it and just travel through the cave until you reach its boss. The cave boss will have the special heath bar and a unique name. Once you have defeated the boss you should get an in game achievement and the cave should be classed as cleared.

    Maps:

These maps show every cave/locale in each area. Use them to make sure you haven't missed anything.

o DEEVIUS oI'm confused; you have to get all Master Explorer achievements yeah? Khenarthi, Auridon, Grahtwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor and Reaper's March, and to get those you have to get the Cave Delver and Pathfinder from each yes? But there is no such thing as Khenarthi Cave Delver nor Khenarthi Explorer achievements, and Khenarthi Explorer is greyed out in Aldmeri Master Explorer, so it should exist.

Is this just a mistake that it's not being tracked? Or is Khenarthi Cave Delver not required but Pathfinder is?

QozulYou are correct about how to get this achievement. This may be a bug in the latest patch, but when I got this achievement nearly a year ago this guide was correct. I don;t play ESO anymore and haven't for months, so you could try doing it without Khenarthi and see what happens, if you don't need it then I will update the guide.

o DEEVIUS oI'll leave Khenarthi 'til last and see if it unlocks.

GryJediEngrDoes it include the group dungeons? I've received the in game achievement of the same name but the xbox achievement didn't pop.

GryJediEngrJust got it today. Redid all of the delves and vistas with a new character. No idea what changed in the last 2 years that unlocked it now
