Assassin's Creed Mirage arrives in October, and we're gradually learning more about it as it approaches: we know an Assassin's Creed Mirage completion will take up to 30 hours, we know "there's no XP-based progression" in Mirage, and that there won't be "real gambling or loot boxes" in the game. A leaked image, however, seems to show an Assassin's Creed Mirage gear pack, suggesting that there will be microtransactions in the game.

Assassin's Creed Mirage leak suggests gear packs will feature

While not commenting specifically on microtransactions, creative director Stephane Boudon did say that the team "has no plan for DLC or extensive post-launch." Yet Twitter X user j0nathan shared an image (which has now been taken down "in response to a report from the copyright holder") of what they claim is the Fire Demon pack for Assassin's Creed Mirage, which appears to include a mount, armor set, weapons, and — possibly — a skin for an eagle companion.

Although the image was removed, it had already been posted on Reddit (thanks, GamesRadar+) where the general reaction seems to be resigned acceptance.

Ubisoft hasn't officially commented on this either to confirm or deny, but we've reached out for more information.
